Biosphere is one of the world’s longest-established and most internationally recognized sustainability certifications in the travel and tourism industry. Developed in collaboration with UNESCO and aligned with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda, it has grown into the world’s largest international community of certified tourism destinations and companies. In 2021, a study by the Université de Sherbrooke ranked Biosphere as the world’s highest-rated sustainability certification framework.
